Star Speedway kicked off their 2025 racing season Sunday afternoon with the annual Spring Bunny Brawl.
Seven divisions circled the Epping oval over the course of the afternoon, including the Pro V8 Sportsman, Crown Vic Cruisers, Bumpy’s Dwarf Cars, Six Shooters, Mighty Trucks and Enduro action. Despite the weather not being ideal for racing, all the features were completed and racing season has officially begun at The Place To Race. In the Pro V8 Sportsman main event, it was Mitch Wendell who bested the competition, and captured checkers. Andrew Harmon, who has visited Star Speedway victory lane in a variety of different divisions, claimed the win in the opener for the Crown Vic Cruisers. In the Bumpy’s Auto Dwarf Cars, Tom Harwood took checkers in the caution free feature event. Steve Miller Jr. took home the win in the Six Shooter main event, while Kris Knox paced the field in the Mighty Trucks. In Enduro racing, Danny Hill drove to victory on the V8 Enduro, while Jamie Heath was victorious in the 4 cylinder Enduro. This coming Saturday, May 3, Star Speedway is back in action with the annual Bob Webber Sr/Jim Martel Memorial race beginning at 5PM.
