CASHMAN, NELSON & HARMON WINNERS IN RAIN SHORTENED NIGHT AT STAR SPEEDWAY ON MAY 3

5/6/2025

Picture
Star Speedway kicked off their 2025 weekly Saturday night schedule this past weekend, but unfortunately, mother nature cut things short. Although all five scheduled features weren't able to be completed, the Woody’s Auto Street Stocks, Six Shooters, and Crown Vic Cruisers were able to complete their main events.

The 350 Supermodifieds did get their time trials in for the Bob Webber Sr / Jim Martel Memorial event and defending champ Jeffrey Battle Jr. captured fast times.

The main event for the 350 Supermodifieds will now be held on June 10 ,in addition to the night's scheduled program, which includes the Marco Turcotte Memorial.

In Woody’s Auto Street Stock competition, it was former Star Speedway Six Shooter champion J.T. Cashman who took down the opening night win. Cashman had a bit of a breakout season in the Street Stocks through the 2024 season, and looks to have his sights set on a possible run at a Street Stock championship with his early season success.

Ryan Nelson also started his Star Speedway season on a strong note, taking down the win in Saturday night's feature. Nelson, who is a veteran of the division, will be a driver to watch if he can continue to build on his early season speed.

Once again Andrew Harmon topped the field of Crown Vic Cruisers before the rains came Saturday night. Harmon is proving himself to be the man to beat, as he was also the Bunny Brawl winner for the division, and a former standout in the Pure Stock division as well.

Star Speedway will be back in action on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 11, with a track rental event that includes the Pro All Star Series, American-Canadian Tour, PASS Modifieds and New England Supermodified Series. For information on this event, visit ProAllStarsSeries.com or ACTTour.com.
