Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire, capped off another busy two-day weekend of racing late Saturday night. In typical Star Speedway fashion, Friday's event was completed, seemingly against all odds, as mother nature did her best to not cooperate. Luckily for Star Speedway’s staff, competitors, and fans, clear skies rolled in and Saturday's weather was perfect for racing.
Friday night's $5 Friday presented by Little Billy’s Tees racing program was headlined by the N.E.S.S. Big Block Supermodifieds, making their return to the Epping oval. Ben Seitz jumped out front early and was able to stay at the front of the pack until checkers flew, taking down the feature win. The NELCAR Legends, and Bandolero’s were also in action on Friday, and it was Jacob Burns taking the victory in Legends, while Bryson Robidoux claimed Bandolero checkers. The Crown Vic Cruiser win went to Adam Lovejoy, while Dave Lamson and Jeff Mains each took home a win in the Mighty Truck divisions double features. The Izzett Construction Late Models were the top division on Saturday nights schedule, competing in the Triple 25-lap features presented by Cole Companies. Although Eric Sands was able to claim the top spot in two out of the three features, it was Adam Lovejoy who claimed the overall victory on the night due to best average finish. Lovejoy also won the first feature, his first career win in the division. In Woody’s Auto Street Stock action, it was Jimmy Renfrew Jr. who came out on top at features end, while Jimmy Renfrew Sr. topped the competition in the Pro V8 Sportsman main event. Rookie Billy Eastman took home the win in the Bumpy's Auto Slingshot feature, giving him his second win on his 2024 rookie campaign. Ryan Partridge came out on top in the Six Shooter main event, adding another Star Speedway win to his 2024 season totals, while Andrew Harmon took top honors in the MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stock feature race. Star Speedway will be back on track on Saturday, August 17 for another night of racing. For more information on the track, visit StarSpeedwayNH.com and follow the track on media.
