Weekly divisions were in action along with a few touring series invaders who came through town, as the S.T.A.R. Antique Racers, NELCAR Tour, and R&R Street Stock Tour were all on the schedule, setting up two busy days of racing excitement. Friday night's action saw Cole Robie win in the NELCAR Legend race, while Grayson Day took home top honors in NELCAR Bandolero action. Jimmy Renfrew Jr. doubled up in Pro V8 Sportsman competition, as he took checkers in both of the divisions Friday night features. In the Crown Vic Cruisers main event, it was Adam Lovejoy who claimed the win, while Keith Holtby found victory lane in the Mighty Truck feature event. Saturday night was highlighted by the R&R Street Stock Tour rolling into town. Joining them in action were the Izzett Construction Late Models, Bumpy's Auto Slingshots, the Six Shooters, and the MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks. In the R&R Street Stock main, it was Star regular Shane Gendron who was first to the stripe when checkers flew, followed by Charles Baldwin. JT Cashman rounded out the podium with a third place finish. Justin Storace topped all comers to claim victory in the Izzett Construction Late Model feature, while Adam Lovejoy was next across the line, with rookie Nate Leclair securing a season best third place run. The Bumpy's Auto Slingshots saw Dwight Souther Jr. get the win on track, but post-race inspection awarded the top spot to Jacob Vaughn after violations were found on the ride of Souther and Billy Eastman. In Six Shooter action, it was Paul Childs who added another win to his resume, while Jeremiah Sergeant raced his way to a second place effort and following Sergeant to the line in third was Adam Knowles. Former Star Speedway Pure Stock champ George Riley Jr. took the win in the division's main event over Sean Nadeau who finished second, while Daryl Quinlan rounded off the podium in third. The S.T.A.R. Modified winner was John Mulcahy, while George Gilbert won the S.T.A.R. Sportsman feature. Star Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, July 27 for another night of racing.
