EDDIE WITKUM JR. WINS JEN GARLAND MEMORIAL, LOVEJOY, VAUGHN, HURTEAU & HODGE CLAIM WEEKLY WINS

Saturday night, Star Speedway returned to weekly racing action with the Jen Garland Memorial race, which is one of the marquee events for the N.E. Concrete Foundations350 Supermodifieds. 


Veteran driver Eddie Witkum Jr. topped a tough field of competitors in his Callahan Motorsports ride and took home his first Star Speedway win of the 2024 racing season. The runner-up spot went to Ryan Locke, while Ben Tinker crossed the line in the third position.


In Woody’s Auto Street Stock action, former Star Speedway track champion Adam Lovejoy was first to the line when checkers flew.  Lovejoy, who has competed in a variety of divisions already this season, took down his first Street Stock win this year. Charlie Baldwin was next across the line behind Lovejoy, with Justin Beecher taking the third position.


Jacob Vaughn beat all comers on Saturday night, as he drove his way to his first career Bumpy's Auto Slingshot win in the division's 25-lap main event. Jake Rheaume trailed Vaughn to the line as the checkered flag flew with former Pure Stock standout Gage Osborne rounding off the podium in the third spot.


Saturday's Six Shooter action saw Matthew Hurteau top the competition en route to claiming his first Star Speedway win of the 2024 season. Trailing Hurteau to the finish was Ryan McCarthy, who claimed the second position when checkers flew. Patrick Joslin had himself a strong run taking the final podium position.


In the MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks, Cody Hodge took home top honors in the division's feature event. The runner-up spot went to Shawn Nadeau, who followed Hodge to the line at the finish. The final podium spot went to former Star Pure Stock champion George Riley Jr.
