Star Speedway wrapped up their July racing schedule this past Saturday with four of their weekly divisions on track set to battle.
The Izzett Construction Late Models, Woody’s Auto Street Stocks, Six Shooters, and Crown Vic Cruisers were all in action as part of this weekend's Saturday night schedule. The Izzett Construction Late Models saw Chase Curtis out pace his brother Jarret en route to taking home the feature win. Jarret Curtis was able to claim the second spot when checkers flew, with Colby Meserve rounding off the podium in the third position in the New England Epoxy 75, worth $2,000 to win. Ryan Partridge topped the competition in Six Shooter action, as he added another Star Speedway win to his career resume. Next across the stripe was Matthew Hurteau who claimed second, with Kody Parker trailing Partridge and Hurteau to take home a third-place finish. In Saturday's Crown Vic Cruiser main event, it was Jake Michaud claiming the feature win, as he held off all challengers to take top honors on the night. Veteran Patrick Tanguay was next across the line on the final lap to take second, with Alex Tanguay rounding off the podium in the third position. In the Woody’s Street Stocks, Shane Gendron picked up the victory in another round of the MLM Fast 40. Originally, Adam Lovejoy, J.T. Cashman and Charlie Baldwin completed the podium. However, all three did not make it through post-race inspection. Star Speedway is back in action next Saturday with another exciting night of racing on tap.
