 For the second time in the month of June, Star Speedway will be in action on both Friday and Saturday night this weekend, June 28-29. Star Speedway’s weekly racing divisions had a scheduled off week this past weekend with both the PASS and ACT tours in town, but will be back in full force this weekend.
First up will be the second edition of this season's $5 Friday program presented by Little Billy’s Tees, featuring seven divisions of racing. Friday's division lineup will include the Pro V8 Sportsman, Crown Vic Cruisers, Junk Yard Dogs, the New England Dwarf Cars and the NELCAR Bandoleros and Legends Cars. The pit area for Friday's racing will open up at 5PM, with pit admission being $25. The grandstand area will open up at 530PM, with admission being $5 for all over the age of 11. Practice will begin at 540PM, with the first green flag of the evening waving at 6:45PM. Saturday's five-division racing program will be headlined by the Izzett Construction Late Models, who are back on hand for 50 laps. Joining them will be the Woody’s Auto Street Stocks, Bumpy's Auto Slingshots, Six Shooters and MLM Diagnostic Services Pure Stocks. The pit area is scheduled to open up at 3:30PM on Saturday for Star members, and at 3:45PM for non-members. Pit admission will be $30 for Star members and for $40 for non-members. The grandstand is set to open up at 4PM on Saturday, with admission being $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/military, and $10 for juniors. Practice will begin at 4:30PM, followed by heat racing at 6PM.
